Under 12 D Football
On Sunday last our boys travelled to Kilsheelan where they had victories over Cahir by 5-4 to 3-2, Moyle Rovers by 0-2 to 0-1 and Clerihan by 4-3 to 0-1. Players in action were Matt Lawrence, Mikey Slattery, Luke Power, Eoin O’Brien, Jack O’Donnell, Mikey Grace, Jim Noonan, Dara Fitzgerald, Aidan Morrissey, Liam Richardson, Jack Gleeson, James Egan, Tom Butler and Turlough Moroney.

Under 14 Football
On Sunday last our boys travelled to O’Sullivan Park Ballingarry where they took on the local team in atrocious wind and rain. After a great battle Ballingarry won by 3-1 to 1-5.
The team was Adam O’Connell, Mike O’Dwyer, Conor Brett, Cathal Keane, Oran Gahan, Finn Madigan, Charlie Noonan, Seán Nash, Hayden Fleming, Seán Fitzgerald, Cormac Duggan, Eoin Morrissey, Diesel Outram, Tom Ryan, Dylan Meagher.

Minor Football
Our Minor Footballers played their final group game last Tuesday evening in Kilsheelan when they took on Carrick Swan. Due to injuries we only had 15 fit players available to us. Although the lads had spells in the game where they played some good football, they came out on the wrong side of a 6-8 to 1-5 scoreline. The team on the night was: Brian O’Halloran, Pat Moroney, Cathal Foley, Luke Fox, Bill Cuddihy, Keith Morrissey, Cian Crannitch, Aidan Fitzgerald, James Ryan, Danny Broderick, Ryan Crannitch, Jamie Brett Robbie Noonan, Matt McCormack, Eoin Fitzgerald. We would like to thank players and management for all their effort throughout what was a strange year.

Under 21 Football
Our U21 Footballers were in South Final action last Thursday night under lights in Cahir where Mullinahone were the opposition. In what was a tight game for the first 40 minutes, Mullinahone finished the stronger and won on a scoreline of 1-12 to 4-11. The team on the night was: Tyler McCormack (Fethard), Keith Morrissey (St Patricks), Barry O’Dwyer (St Patricks), Michael Boland (St Patricks), Aidan Fitzgerald (St Patricks), Eoin Ryan (St Patricks), Richie Anglim (Fethard), (Ryan Walsh (Fethard), Darragh Hurley (Fethard), Peter Wall (Fethard), Conor Harrington (Fethard), Jesse McCormack (Fethard), Pauric O’Brien (St Patricks), Jamie Broderick (St Patricks), Stephen Crofty (Fethard), Cathal O Mahoney (Fethard), Micheál Quinlan (Fethard), Cathal Foley (St Patricks), Dale Murphy (St. Patricks), Matt McCormack (St Patricks), Seán Ryan (St Patricks), James Fitzgerald (St Patricks), Ryan Crannitch (St Patricks), Keelan Ahearn (Fethard). Bereavements We extend sympathy to the Molloy Family Prospect on the recent death of Collette Geoghegan (nee Molloy) at the early age of 47 following an illness. Like the rest of her family Collette was involved in Community life in both Drangan and her adopted Fethard. May she rest in peace. Sympathy is also extended to the Wilson and McGarry Families on the recent death of Ruth McGarry (nee Wilson) who died suddenly last week. A native of Rathkenny Ruth had retired to her native Rathkenny some years ago and became involved in local community life on her retirement. May she rest in peace.

Ladies Football Down Under

Last week we reported that Áine and Deirdre O’ Dononvan of Knockura lined out with the Craobh Pádraig ladies footballers in their final in Sydney last Sunday week. We omitted to mention that Niamh Dunne of Moonverrin was also a member of that panel. Well done Niamh on following in your mother Bredas footsteps on the football field.

Junior Football

Our Junior A Footballers were due to play Moyle Rovers last Sunday in the second round of the Championship however we received a walkover. We have 2 games left to play against Killenaule and Ballingarry and have to win both to have a chance of qualifying for the semi finals.

Under 14 B Hurling Final

On Monday week last our under 14 boys took on Ballybacon-Grange/Newcastle in the South Tipperary Final at Clerihan. Our boys put in a great shift and were well in the game into the second half. However Ballybacon gradually took control and won by The team was: Cormac Duggan, Cathal Keane, Evan Holohan, Hayden Fleming Molloy, Eoin Morrissey, Conor Brett, Joey Fitzgerald, Shaun Nash, Charlie Noonan, John Carroll, Finn Madigan, Keelan Strappe, Seán Fitzgerald, Oran Gahan, Tom Ryan, Mike O’Dwyer, Tom Lee, Dylan Meagher, Diesel Outram, Michael Hayden, Dane Outram.

Mullinahone Hurling Tournaments

On Saturday week last our under 12 hurlers were defeated by Mullinahone in the semi final but recovered to win the Shield Final by defeating Grangemockler. The team was: Tom Butler, Donncha Foley, Donal Keane, Tiernan O’Brien, Conor Danagher, Dane Outram, Daniel Hayden, Nathan Gleeson, Jack O’Donnell, Liam Henebry, Dara Browne, Daniel Carroll.

On Saturday last our under 10 hurlers defeated Carrick Davins and Mullinahone to win the cup. Players in action were: Liam Richardson, Eoin O’Brien, James Egan, Aidan Morrissey, Tom Butler, Turlough Moroney, Dara Fitzgerald, Jack Gleeson, Eddie Hayden. Well done to all on a great days hurling.

Our under 9 hurlers were in action in Mullinahone last Saturday also. They put on a good performances drawing with Grangemockler but were unlucky to be beaten by Mullinahone. The team was: Liam O’Halloran, Paddy O’Brien, Jack Slattery, Rhys Davies, Jack Ryan, Robbie O’Brien, Billy Purcell, Mikey O’Brien, Evan Lawless, Daniel Lee, Mason Moynihan.

We thank Mullinahone for inviting us to play in their local tournaments when Covid 19 prevented them from running their usual monster festival of hurling.

Minor Football

Our Minor Footballers played their second round of the championship last Sunday evening in Mullinahone where Killenaule were our opponents. The first round was played back in March but the championship was delayed due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
We started off slowly and took a while to find our scoring boots but once we got going we never looked back. Goals from Aidan Fitzgerald, Daithi Hogan and Danny Broderick helped us win out on a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-8. By the time you read this we will have played the South Final against Ballybacon-Grange/Newcastle on Monday evening in Clerihan.

Under 16 Hurling

Our under 16 hurlers played Grangemockler/Ballyneale in Anner Park Cloneen on last Monday week. The visitors controlled the early exchanges but our boys gradually came into the game and won by 3-9 to 4-5. In the Shield play off our boys again played well but Carrick Swans proved too strong and won by The team was: : Jamie Holohan, Eoin O Brien, Jack Gleeson, Tom Butler, Aidan Morrissey, Dara Fitzgerald, Turlough Moroney, James Egan, Liam Richardson, Matthew Lawrence, Luke Power, Mikey Slattery. This young team gave their supporters some great days with victories over Killenaule, ClonmelÓg and Ballylooby-Castelegrace and our only defeats were at the hands of Mullinahone and Carrick Swans. Well done.

Junior Football

Our Junior A Footballers played their first game of the championship last Sunday when they played Cahir in Clonmel. Down a few starters we were always playing second fiddle to a Cahir team who had already played a game in this championship and they ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-18 to 8 points. The team on the day was: Marcus O Halloran, Conor Gorey, Patrick Moroney, Colm Dunne, Keith Morrissey, Barry O’Dwyer, Eamon Needham, Eoin Ryan, Gavin Strappe, Ciaran Mockler, Joey Noonan, Jamie Broderick, Darren Boland, Nicky Kearney, Mikey O Brien, James Fitzgerald, Sean Ryan, Declan Morrissey, Pauric O’Brien, Cameron Moynihan. We have Ballingarry, Killenaule and Moyle Rovers left to play in the championship.
