KK defeat Tipp in Cloneen by narrowest of margins

Johnny Moroney in goal for Tipp U21s

Kilkenny 3-15 Tipperary 3-14

The opening of our new dressing rooms in Anner Park Cloneen, took place on Sunday evening last, thankfully on a glorious Spring evening. The entertainment was provided by the Tipp and Kilkenny U21 hurlers. From a results perspective Kilkenny took the honors, by a solitary point in an entertaining game.

Prior to the game the new club rooms were officially opened by Barry O’Brien, Tipperary county chairman. It was a a great event for the club and Cloneen and Anner Park looked in peak condition. A good crowd turned up to support and enjoy the event.

What was also very satisfying was to see two of our own hurlers turn out for Tipp on the night. Paul Horan came on at wing back in the second half and Johnny Moroney came on in the goal(see image above). Both our lads acquitted themselves more than adequately.

All in all it was an very satisfying evening for our club, where the work of the past number of years came to fruition. More images available on the flickr stream on the side toolbar.
