St. Patricks 4-09 Ballylooby 1-13

St. Pats defeated Ballyooby last Saturday evening in Anner Park in the fourth round of the county Junior League. It was a decent enough game if not really sparking to life at any stage.

St. Pats had the better of the first half with N Kearney doing well at corner forward and P Horan going well at center back. Pats got two goals before half time, one a very fortuitous one, with the ball traveling in from way out the field and bouncing into the goal.

Ballylooby rallied reasonably well in the second half and got themselves back into it. Nearing the final minutes there was only 1 or two points between the teams and just before the final whistle, Pats got another goal which sealed matters for them. All in all it was a satisfactory outing for the Drangan and Cloneen lads.

The Junior hurlers have now played 4 in the league, beating Clonmel Og and Ballylooby and losing to Thurles Sars and Moyne Templetouthy.
