St. Pats palyers in Tipp side who win U15 Munster Final

Conor Clancy and Cathal Mahoney with the Humphrey kelleher cup after the munster final last week.

Well done to Conor Clancy, son of Jimmy and Ann Clancy Ballylusky and Cathal Mahoney, son of Tom and Mary Mahoney Shanakyle who were part of the tipperary U-15 football panel which won the munster football title (Humphrey Kelleher tournament) in great style beating Corks Rebel Og on a scoreline of Tipperary 3-12 Cork 1-07. Other results were Quarter Final Tipp 1-08 South Kerry 0-10, Semi Final Tipp 2-07 Cork 0-09.

Conor and Cathal are no strangers to munster medals as they both won munster medals at U-14 level last year in both hurling and football. The St. Patrick’s club is very proud to see two of it’s most promising young players make tipperary county teams in both hurling and football and hopefully we’ll see lots more of the two lads in the blue and gold in the future.

So well done lads.

St Pats U12 Girls win County Final

Posted in Ladies Football on July 8, 2012 by Imreoir

On June 30th.St.Pats U12 continued their  winning streak with a comprehensive win over Boherlahan in the. ‘C’final. St.Pats started well with some fine individual displays of skill from Niamh Keane who opened the scoring with a well taken point.Niamh then added a great goal ten minutes into the game. Caoimhe Ryan in a fantastic display of determination broke through the Boherlahan defence and  buried the ball in the back of the net. in a very physical game Boherlahan  went in at half time with the slightest advantage. 2-3 to 2-1. The second half saw St.Pats come out with all guns blazing. With no quarter asked or given, and some great performances  in a mid-field  role by Ruth MacDonald and Dorothy Wall in a centre back role and an absolutely solid defence of Shannon , olivia and chloe and Sadhbh in goal who kept us in the game with two fine saves in the final minutes St.Pats ran out deserving winners on a score 3-6 to 2-4. This is the U12’s second county final win in a row. After a victory lap around the villages of Cloneen and Drangan we all went back to the club house for a well deserved celebration of Pizza , and chips kindly sponsored by the ladies club . There was also sandwiches , buns and cakes of many varietys . A very big thank you to all the mammys who brought food.and finally a huge thank you to Jerimiah kiely of Kielys garage who sponsored the minerals for the team.
