We thank the players for the time and effort they put into hurling and football this year. Thanks to selectors Micheál Broderick and Kenny Brett for the time and effort they put into preparing the team for the championship. This is a thankless job and we are grateful to those who give so much of their time to preparing teams for the championships.
On Saturday week last three of our players were in action for the Co. Tipperary under 16 Hurling teams. Aidan Buckley and Conor Clancy were members of the County A team that reached the final of the Tipperary Supporters Club All Ireland Final only to suffer a last minute defeat at the hands of Kilkenny. Cathal Mahoney was a member of the Co. B team that also reached their final but were defeated by Cork. Well done boys.
Minor Hurling
Our minor hurlers were defeated by Ballyneale on Friday evening last in Mullinahone and so ended our championship involvement for this year at minor level. We thank the players for the time and effort they put into the championships this year. Thanks also to selectors Tomás McCormack and Jimmy O Brien who trained the minors this year
Gaelic for Others
Congratulations to our G4O ladies team who have been successful in their application to play in Croke Park on All Ireland Ladies Final Day – Sunday the 29th of September. Huge credit must go to Mairead Foley who put so much work into preparing the application. The St. Patrick’s submission was one of six teams chosen from all over the country and the only team from Tipperary. This is a fantastic achievement for our small club, that the St. Patricks’ G4O will be gracing ‘Croke Park’ on one of the biggest days of the year – well done to all involved!
