On Saturday last Tommy O’Brien lined out at centre half back for South Tipperary under 15 hurlers against both West and Mid Tipperary. The West were victorious by 4-6 to 2-9 while the South defeated the Mid by 2-11 to 3-6. Best wishes to Tommy and his South colleagues when they play the North on this Saturday with the winners going into the final of the Roger Ryan Cup and the losers playing the Shield Final.
Under 14 Interdivisional Hurling
On Saturday last Aidan Fitzgerald and Luke Fox both came on as subs for the South Tipperary under 14 hurlers when they played North Tipperary. Unfortunately the North team had built up a good lead in the first half but Luke and Aidan played their part in reducing the North lead and ensuring the margin of the North’s victory was only 3 points.

Bereavements
We extend the sympathy of St. Patricks GAA Club to Majella Kenny Fethard on the recent death of her mother Mrs. Theresa Pollard. Majellas son Brian was a regular member of St. Patrick’s juvenile teams for several years and her husband Mick served as a juvenile selector. Majellas daughter Eimear is a prominent player with St. Patricks under age ladies football teams and Majella is always available to lend a hand. May she rest in peace.
We also extend sympathy to Jonathan (Jonny) White and his sister Joan on the recent death of their mother Mrs. Bunny White formerly of Ballyvadlea. Jonathan was one of the best footballers ever to don the St. Patricks jersey and helped Slievenamon (a St. Patricks Mullinahone Combination) to victory in the South and County Minor Football Finals of 1970 while still only 15. Also in 1970 Johnathan won a South Tipperary Under 21 Football medal with Slievenamon. In 1971 Johnathan helped St. Patricks to reach the South Tipperary Junior Football Final only to lose to St. Lukes by a point. Johnathan was a regular on club hurling and football teams as well as Senior football combinations with both Mullinahone and Grangemockler. 1973 and 1974 saw Johnathan in the Co. Tipperary Minor Football team. Johnathan also played under 21 and Senior football for Tipperary before emigration stole him from us in the mid 1970s. But St. Patrick’s loss was London’s gain and Jonny as he became known across the water became a top class administrator on the London scene. In recent years he has been chairman of the Tipperary Association in London where he runs a very successful business called Celtic Construction who recently very generously sponsored the high nets behind both goals in Anner Park Cloneen. He has also spearheaded some very successful fund raising ventures for the Tipperary Co. Board in London and is a regular visitor home for Tipperary games. May the soul of Bunny White rest in peace
