Under 14 hurling championship will commence on Thursday 14th June and will continue on Thursdays until 17th August with semi finals on 20th August and finals on 27th August.

Under 16 Football
On Tuesday week last our under 16 footballers were defeated by Ardfinnan in a play off by 3-8 to 0-8. This ends our involvement in the under 16 football championship for 2017 and we would like to thank the players, selectors and all those who transported our players to the various games across South Tipperary.

Under 16 Hurling
Under 16 hurling championship will commence on Monday 3rd July and continue each Monday until late August.

Minor Football Championship
Our minor footballers defeated Carrick Swans in the South Tipperary semi final on Monday 8th May in Monroe after extra time on a score of 2-15 to 2-14. This proved to be a great battle with the lead changing from one team to the other and both sides regretting several missed chances at various times during the game. For the final against Ardfinnan we headed for Marlfield on last Friday 12th May. After several weeks of dry weather the heavy rain on Friday evening made conditions very difficult for both teams. Anner Gaels started well and their half time lead of 2 points did not reflect their dominance of the first half. However Ardfinnan gradually took control and after scoring a goal they dominated the remainder of the game to win by 1-10 to 0-5. We thank our players and selectors for the time and effort they put into minor football for the last few months. Thanks also to our supporters who came to our various games and especially to the final in the rain of last Friday evening. The team in the final was: Darragh Hurley, Eoin Ryan, Michael Boland, Harry Butler, Conor Harrington, Conor Duggan, Dale Murphy, Jack Dolan, Barry O’Dwyer, Jack Ward, Ross McCormack, Jesse McCormack, Frank Meagher, Jamie Broderick, Robert Hackett. Stephen Crotty, Richie Anglim, Ryan Walsh, Seán Ryan, James Fitzgerald, Nial Mockler, Pauric O Brien and the injured Liam Quigley.

Junior Hurling Championship
Our Junior A hurlers began their championship campaign last Saturday evening in Clonmel where Ballybacon-Grange were the opponents. After beating us in the South Final last year we were hoping to get one over on them. The first half was a tight affair but unfortunately 2 red cards for us in the half made it an uphill battle but our lads battled on and went in at half time leading by a point. The second half was point for point the whole through until 5 minutes from the end when a Ballybacon-Grange goal effectively put them out of reach and they ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-12. Great credit must go to our lads who fought to the end and never gave up. The team on the night was: John Moroney, Conor Gorey, Paddy Moroney, Jason Hayes, Conor Clancy, Cathal Mahony, Shane Gorey, Aidan Buckley, Tony O’Brien, Aaron Cronin, Richie Needham, Nicky Kearney, Mark Mullally, Mark Slattery, Neil Gleeson, Robbie McCormack, Colm Dunne, Robbie Meagher, Willie O’Brien, Ciarán Mockler, Dermot Molloy, Damien Barry, Cameron Moynihan.
Our next game is this Saturday the 20th May in Kilsheelan at 7.00 where Carrick Swan will be the opposition.
