Co. Junior Hurling League

Our junior hurlers played Toomevara in the final round of the County Hurling League today with a win needed in order to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition. After a bright start where we led for a lot of the first half, Toomevara came a lot more into the game and at one stage in the second half led by 7 points. Unfortunately we left ourselves with too much to do and although we brought the deficit back to 1 point we just couldn’t find another goal late in the game to get the win. This ends our participation in the league for this year. The team on the day was John Moroney, Conor Gorey, Damien Barry, Paddy Moroney, Nicky Kearney, Cathal Mahoney, Colm Dunne, Neil Gleeson, Aidan Buckley, Richie Needham, Robbie Meagher, Paul Horan, Jamie Broderick, Mark Mullally, Mark Slattery, Robbie McCormack, Conor Clancy, Joey Noonan, Ciaran Mockler, Brendan Gleeson, Tony O’Brien, Michael Boland, Keelan O’ Neil, Niall Keane,
