Junior Hurling Championship

Our Junior hurlers played Fr Sheehys last Sunday evening in the South Quarter Final in Cahir. The game did not start well for us when we were reduced to 14 men inside the opening 5 minutes. Fr Sheehys were the better team for the opening 20 minutes but we came more into the game as it went on and went in leading at half time by 2 points. We were able to stay in the lead throughout the second half but there was never more than a couple of points between the teams until the last few minutes when a Nicky Kearney goal gave us a 4 point lead and the result was secured with a couple of more points to leave the final score, St Pats 1-18 Fr Sheehys 0-15. We now play Ballybacon-Grange in the Semi Final. The team on the night was: John Moroney, Conor Gorey, Damien Barry, Paddy Moroney, Conor Clancy, Cathal Mahony, Shane Gorey, Aidan Buckley, Neil Gleeson, Richie Needham, Robbie Meagher, Nicky Kearney, Mark Slattery, Mark Mullally, Tony O Brien, Colm Dunne, Brendan Gleeson, Aaron Cronin, Robbie McCormack, Jason Hayes, Conor Barry, Paul Horan, Willie O Brien, Ciarán Mockler, Niall Keane Michael Boland, Jamie Broderick, Cameron Moynihan.
