Junior Hurling Championship

We play Ballingarry in the final round of the Junior A with the winner of that game going straight to the semi-final.

We will have further Junior B hurling games against Marlfield, St. Marys, Cahir, Moyle Rovers and Clerihan.

 

Junior A Football Championship

Our Junior A footballers play Kilsheelan-Kilcash on Friday 3rd August at 8.00pm in Mullinahone. 

 

Co. Football League

Our Junior Footballers were in County Final action last week when they played Killenaule in the Division 3 County Football League Final. Unfortunately for us we came up against a more experienced Killenaule side who won on a scoreline of 4-9 to 1-7. The team on the night was: Richie Needham, Ciaran Mockler, Patrick Moroney, Kieran Clancy, Darren Meagher, Cathal Mahoney, Conor Barry, Aidan Buckley, Conor Duggan, Neil Gleeson, Mark Mullally, Robbie Meagher, John Moroney, Cameron Moynihan, Tony O’Brien, Liam Brett, Aaron Croinin, Michael Boland, Eoin Ryan, Shane Gorey.

Our Junior A Footballers are next out this Friday in Mullinahone where Kilsheelan will be the opponents. The game starts at 8.

Minor Hurling Championship

Our minor hurlers play Killenaule on this Wednesday 1st August at 7.30 in Mullinahone.

 

Under 16 Football                                                                                                                           Our boys will play the Co. Under 16 B Football semi final against Burgess on Saturday 11th August at 1.00pm in Kilcommon.

 

Under 12B Hurling

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          On Saturday last our under 12 hurlers defeated Ballybacon-Grange on a score of St. Patricks 4-5 to 2-7 for Ballybacon-Grange. The team was: Cormac Duggan, Eoin Morrissey, Conor Brett, Evan Holohan, Tom Ryan, Seán Nash, John Carroll, Charlie Noonan, Michael Hayden, Oran Gahan, Seán Fitzgerald, Tom Lee, Mike O’Dwyer, Diesel Outram, Cathal Keane, Dane Outram.                                                                                                                               On this Saturday 28th July our under 12 hurlers play Killenaule in the South Semi-final.

Rebel Hearts Concert

St. Patricks GAA Club would like to express sincere thanks to anyone who was involved in any way with our fundraiser last Saturday night. Whether it was organizing the event, selling tickets, promoting the concert, setting up the hall on the night, organizing raffle prizes, helping out on the night or helping with the cleaning up after, your help is greatly appreciated and without it the night would not have been a success. We would also like to thank the committee of Cloneen Hall for putting their fine premises at our disposal for the night.

Junior Hurling Championship

Our Junior A Hurlers were out in the 4th round of the championship last Saturday evening v Carrick Swan in Fethard. An early goal from Tony O Brien in the first minute gave us a lead we would keep throughout the entire game and ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-8. The team on the day was: John Moroney, Liam Brett, Nicky Kearney, Paddy Moroney, Cathal Mahony, Neil Gleeson, Paul Horan, Ciarán Mockler, Conor Barry, Aidan Buckley, Mark Mullally, Conor Duggan, Aaron Cronin, Robbie Meagher, Tony O Brien, Richie Needham, Shane Gorey, Jamie Broderick, Kieran Clancy, Eoin Ryan, James Fitzgerald.

We play Ballingarry in the final round of the Junior A with the winner of that game going straight to the semi-final.

Our Junior Footballers were in action when they played Clerihan last Tuesday week in the semi-final of the County Football league. The game was tight throughout the first half and although we managed to open up a 7-point lead halfway through the second half Clerihan fought back to force extra time. In the end we managed to win on a scoreline of 5-13 to 2-17. The team on the night was: Richie Needham, Michael Boland, Ciarán Mockler, Kieran Clancy, Paddy Moroney, Cathal Mahony, Darren Meagher, Conor Barry, Conor Duggan, Aidan Buckley, Robbie Meagher, Aaron Cronin, Jamie Broderick, Tony O Brien, John Moroney, Nicky Kearney, Cameron Moynihan Eoin Ryan, Willie O Brien.

We now play Killenaule in the County Football League Final this Thursday 26th July in Fethard at 7:30

Under 16 Football 

On Thursday last our Under 16 footballers played Kilsheelan-Kilcash in the South Tipperary Final. Our boys were in control from an early stage and led by 2-7 to 0-2 at half time. Kilsheelan-Kilcash had been reduced to 14 men before half time which ensured our boys had an easy task in the second half and eventually won 4-20 to 2-4.

The team was: Tyler McCormack, Shane Neville, Keith Morrissey,               Conor Neville, Jack O Donahue, Cathal O Mahony (Capt), Tommy O Brien, Darragh Hurley, Ryan Walsh, Cathal Foley, Ciaran Moroney, Robert Hackett, Ryan Cranitch, Matt McCormack, Toby Collier, Keenan Ahearne, Luke Fox, Cian Crannitch, Darragh Spillane, Nevin Healy, Jamie Brett, Cathal Ryan.

Our boys will play the Co. Under 16 B Football semi final against Burgess on Saturday 11th August at 1.00pm in Kilcommon.

Under 12B Hurling

On Monday week last our under 12 hurlers drew with Killenaule on a score of St. Patricks 1-1 to 4 points for Killenaule. St. Patricks GAA Summer Camp                                                                              St. Patricks Annual GAA Summer CÚL Camp was the most successful to date with 138 players in attendance. We thank club chairperson Julie Ann Gahan and Treasurer Micheál Broderick for the work they put in to make this year’s camp such a success. Thanks to all parents who helped out and a special word of thanks to the Mullinahone club who made their pitch and premises available to us in our time of need.    

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Junior Hurling                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

It was a busy week with our Junior A and B hurlers both in action. First up was our Junior A’s who played Kilsheelan in the semi final of the County League last Thursday night in Cloneen. After a great start to the game Kilsheelan took control of the game and hit us for 3 goals which gave them an 11-point lead at half time, 3-9 to 1-4. To our lad’s credit they never gave up and almost pulled off a victory but ultimately, they gave themselves too much to do and Kilsheelan won on a scoreline of 3-16 to 2-15. The team on the night was: Michael Boland, Liam Brett, Paddy Moroney, Conor Gorey, Conor Duggan, Neil Gleeson, Ciaran Mockler, Conor Barry, Brendan Gleeson, Shane Gorey, Aaron Cronin, Aidan Buckley, Jamie Broderick, Brian McCormack, Mark Mullally, Robbie McCormack, Kieran Clancy, Jason Hayes, Eoin Ryan.

Next up was our Junior Bs who played Mullinahone last Sunday in Killenaule. The game was a tight affair throughout but unfortunately Mullinahone won in the end on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-10. The team on the day was: Conor Clancy, Tommy Hayes, Willie O’Brien, Darren Meagher, PJ Burke, Eoin Ryan, Kieran Clancy, Jason Hayes, Michael Boland, Jamie Broderick, Richie Needham, Aaron Cronin, Keelan O’Neil, Robbie McCormack, James Fitzgerald, Declan Ryan , Marcus O’Halloran, Cameron Moynihan, Dermot Molloy, Declan Morrissey, Brian Anglim.

Next up is our Junior A Hurlers who play Carrick Swan this Saturday in Fethard at 7:30

Our next game in the Junior Hurling A Championship will be against Carrick Swans on this Saturday 21st July at 7.30pm in Fethard. We will have one more game in the Junior A hurling group section against Ballingarry.

Our Junior Footballers were in championship action last Sunday evening in Marlfield where Ballylooby were the opponents. We never got to grips with Ballyloobys running game from the first whistle and were always chasing the game. Ballylooby won on a scoreline of 3-15 to 2-5. The team on the day was: Tony O Brien, Shane Gorey, Ciarán Mockler, Michael Boland, Neil Gleeson, Cathal Mahony, Conor Gorey, Aidan Buckley, Conor Barry, Jamie Broderick, Paddy Moroney, Aaron Cronin, John Moroney, Robbie Meagher, Mark Slattery, Nicky Kearney, Conor Duggan, Kieran Clancy, Cameron Moynihan.

Junior B Football Fixtures

On this Sunday 8th July our Junior B footballers play Ballyporeen in Ned Hall Park Clonmel at 12.00. We will have further Junior B football games against Moyle Rovers, Clonmel Commercials, Cahir, Clerihan and Killenaule.

 

Under 14 Hurling

On Thursday evening last in Anner Park Cloneen our under 14 hurlers played their first game of the 2018 championship against Fethard. Our boys recovered from a bad start and led for much of the game until Fethard secured a draw with a late goal to leave the score 3-5 each. The team was: Charlie Noonan, Brian O’Halloran, Pat Moroney, Conor Brett, Eoin Fitzgerald, Bill Cuddihy, Robbie Noonan, Evan White, James Ryan, Danny Broderick, Jack Cleere, James Hogan, Willie Cleere, Kyle Colville, Daithi Hogan.

 

Under 16 Hurling

On Saturday week last our under 16 hurlers took part in the Brendan Teehan Under 16 Hurling Tournament in Gortnahoe. Despite fielding without several regular players our boys put on two fine performances against Gortnahoe-Glengoole and Borrisileigh.

Unfortunately, things did not go our way and we suffered two defeats. We thank Gortnahoe-Glengoole for inviting us to take part and for the hospitality they showed us on the day.

 

 

 

Juvenile GAA Church Gate Collection

St. Patricks Juvenile GAA Club would like to thank all who supported our Church Gate Collection in Cloneen on Saturday evening 23rd June and in Drangan on Sunday morning 24th June. Your generous support is very much appreciated as we continue to provide games and facilities for our young players. Total collected was €401.00.
