Junior A Football Championship

Our Junior Footballers were in championship action last Sunday evening in Marlfield where Ballylooby were the opponents. We never got to grips with Ballyloobys running game from the first whistle and were always chasing the game. Ballylooby won on a scoreline of 3-15 to 2-5. The team on the day was: Tony O Brien, Shane Gorey, Ciarán Mockler, Michael Boland, Neil Gleeson, Cathal Mahony, Conor Gorey, Aidan Buckley, Conor Barry, Jamie Broderick, Paddy Moroney, Aaron Cronin, John Moroney, Robbie Meagher, Mark Slattery, Nicky Kearney, Conor Duggan, Kieran Clancy, Cameron Moynihan.

Both our Junior Hurlers and Junior B Footballers are in action this weekend. Keep an eye on our Social media to find out fixture details for these games.

Junior B Football Fixtures

On this Sunday 8th July our Junior B footballers play Ballyporeen in Ned Hall Park Clonmel at 12.00. We will have further Junior B football games against Moyle Rovers, Clonmel Commercials, Cahir, Clerihan and Killenaule.

Under 14 Hurling

On Thursday evening last in Anner Park Cloneen our under 14 hurlers played their first game of the 2018 championship against Fethard. Our boys recovered from a bad start and led for much of the game until Fethard secured a draw with a late goal to leave the score 3-5 each. The team was: Charlie Noonan, Brian O’Halloran, Pat Moroney, Conor Brett, Eoin Fitzgerald, Bill Cuddihy, Robbie Noonan, Evan White, James Ryan, Danny Broderick, Jack Cleere, James Hogan, Willie Cleere, Kyle Colville, Daithi Hogan.

Under 16 Hurling

On Saturday week last our under 16 hurlers took part in the Brendan Teehan Under 16 Hurling Tournament in Gortnahoe. Despite fielding without several regular players our boys put on two fine performances against Gortnahoe-Glengoole and Borrisileigh.

Unfortunately, things did not go our way and we suffered two defeats. We thank Gortnahoe-Glengoole for inviting us to take part and for the hospitality they showed us on the day.
