Bereavements

We extend the sympathy of St. Patricks GAA Club to the Fitzgerald Family of The Thatch Cloneen on the recent untimely death of Noel RIP. Noel first came to notice as centre forward on the St. Patricks Under 14 football team that reached the South Final of 1972. This was in the days before A, B or C when all teams were in the same competition. Noel continued to line out for St. Patricks teams over the next 12 years. His son Mark is Assistant Secretary of St. Patricks GAA Club and has been involved in organizing Fund-Raising events over the years. James has lined out for various teams over the years and last year was goalkeeper on the Anner Gaels minor hurling team that won the South Final. Niamh has figured on several Ladies Football teams over the years. Noels coffin was draped in the Black and Amber of St. Patricks as a Guard of Honour of past and present players escorted his remains from the Thatch to the Church of the Nativity in Cloneen. May Noel rest in Peace.
