Under 6 Football And Hurling
Training for Under 6 football will continue at 7.00 every Wednesday in Drangan field Under 6 Hurling training every Saturday in Anner Park Cloneen at 10.00.

Under 14 Hurling
On Thursday evening last our under 14 hurlers were defeated by Kilsheelan-Kilcash in Anner Park Cloneen by 5-1 to 0-9. The team was: Conor Brett, Hayden Fleming, Pat Moroney, Joe Traynor, Tom Ryan, Danny Broderick, Evan Holohan, Daithi Hogan, Seán Nash, Seán Fitzgerald, Willie Cleere, John Carroll, Dylan Meagher, Liam Hennebry, Nathan Gleeson.

Under 16 Hurling
On Monday week last our under 16 hurlers defeated Fethard by 2-16 to 0-9 in Fethard GAA Park. The team was: Pat Moroney, Evan White, Luke Fox, Ryan Crannitch, Aidan Fitzgerald, Eoin Fitzgerald, Cian Crannitch, Bill Cuddihy, Cathal Foley, James Ryan, Robbie Noonan, Daithi Hogan, Jack Cleere, Willie Cleere.

Minor Hurling
On Wednesday week last our minor hurlers defeated Kilsheelan-Kilcash by 4-12 to 2-15.
The team was: Tyler McCormack, Keith Morrissey, Ciarán Moroney, Jack Cleere, Cian Crannitch, Cathal O’Mahoney, Páraig O’Brien, Richie Anglim, Aidan Fitzgerald, Micheál Quinlan, Ryan Walsh, Robbie Hackett, Cathal Neville, Darragh Hurley, Cathal Foley, Matt McCormack, Shane Neville, Luke Fox, Keenan Ahearne.

Under 12 D Hurling
On Monday week last our under 12 D hurlers made their exit from the championship at the hands of Fethard on a scoreline of 7-2 to 0-1. The team was: Conor Danagher, Donncha Foley, Jack O’Donnell, Liam Hennebry, Tiernan O’ Brien, Eoin Horan, Turlough Moroney, Matt Lawrence, Luke Power and Bobby Purcell. We thankthe players who gave us some great entertainment and let us see that we should face the future with confidence in our young hurlers.
Thanks to selectors Michael Danagher and Chris Foley and to the parents and grandparents who transported the players to training and matches.

Under 12 B Hurling South Quarter Final On Wed July 31 in Ballyporeen our under 12 B hurlers made their exit from the South Championship at the hands of a very strong local team Skeheenarinka. The team was: Oran Gahan, Nathan Gleeson,Cormac Duggan, Charlie Noonan, Tom Lee, Cathal Keane, Seán Fitzgerald, Michael Hayden, Eoin Morrissey, Liam Hennebry, Tom Ryan, Dane Outram, Eoin Horan. Thanks to selectors Liam Fitzgerald, Declan Morrossey and Jimpy Noonan for the work they put into preparing this team and also to the parents and grandparents who have driven the players to training and matches all over South Tipperary.

Minor Hurling Fixtures Wed August 7 Anner Gaels got a walk over from Ballybacon-Newcastle.

All Ireland Winner
Congratulations to Eamon Shanahan who helped Kerry to victory over Down in the Under 20 All Ireland B hurling Final on Saturday last in Navan. Eamon had lined out at corner back in Kerry’s victories over Wicklow in the Quarter Final and over Meath in the semi final both of which were played in Semple Stadium Thurles. Eamon’s mother is the former Miss Helen Moroney of Ballynennan.

As usual at this time of the year The GAA Lotto Committee made presentations to local voluntary groups who make a valuable contribution to Drangan and Cloneen. This year €300 each was presented to Drangan Tidy Towns, Cloneen Tidy Towns and the Drangan-Cloneen Heartsafe Group who provide 3 Defibrilators in the parish and also arrange training for over 60 local people who are available to use the Defirilator when needed.

All are welcome to attend the Lotto Draw in the clubrooms at Anner Park at 9.00pm. You can now play St. Patrick’s GAA Lotto by logging onto our website “stpatsgaa.ie” and also receive our free fortnightly newsletter. This may be of special interest to those with family or friends away from home.
