Wednesday January 15 Foundation Level Coaching Course Part 1 at 7.00 in Cloneen Sports & Social Club. Wednesday January 22 Child Welfare Course in Anner Park at 7.00.
Wednesday January 29 Foundation Level Coaching Course Part 2 at 7.00 in Cloneen Sports & Social Club.
St. Patricks GAA Club Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting of St. Patricks GAA Club was held in the Clubrooms at Anner Park Cloneen on Friday night last December 6. A review of 2019 showed a disappointing year but 2020 was looked forward to in greater hope. Officers elected were: Presidents Jimmy Gleeson, Alan Britton and John Duggan. Vice President Jim McGrath. Chairman Jimmy O’Brien, Vice chairman Eugene McCormack, Secretary Catherine Mockler, Assistant Secretary Mark Fitzgerald MCC, Treasurer to be appointed at next meeting in January. Assistant Treasurer Eamon Murphy, Public Relations Officer Patrick Moroney, South and Co. Board Delegates Catherine Mockler and Nicholas Moroney. It was agreed to enter teams in Junior A & B Hurling, Junior A & B Football, Under 21 Hurling & Football and Minor Hurling and Football. We will be joined up with Fethard for U21 Hurling and Football and will be on our own for Minor Hurling and Football.
Munster Champions Congratulations to Presentation Secondary School Ballingarry on their victory in the Munster under 16 ½ Munster Hurling Final played in Bansha on Tuesday week last when the team backboned by 5 St. Patricks players defeated Kilfinnane 1-10 to 1-9. Aidan Fitzgerald captained the team from wing forward. Other St. Patricks players were Goalkeeper Danny Broderick, Wing Back Jack Cleere, Midfielder Cian Crannitch and Corner Forward Ryan Crannitch. Also on the panel were: James Ryan, Bill Cuddihy, Pat Moroney, Daithi Hogan, Willie Cleere and James Hogan. Another panel member was Jamie Brett who was at home sick on the day of the final. Thanks to all the St. Patricks supporters who braved the bad weather to support the team in Bansha.
