Under 21 Hurlers

Our U21 Hurlers were in Semi Final action last Sunday afternoon when they took on Cahir in Clonmel. The game was nip and tuck in the first half but a Cathal Foley goal gave us a half time lead, 1-5 to 0- 6. The second half was the the same as the first with nothing between the teams but a goal for Cahir in the last 10 minutes gave them a lead and they held onto that lead to come out 2 point winners on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-13. The team on the day was: James Fitzgerald, Sean Ryan, Eoin Ryan Mikey O Brien, Cian Crannitch Conor Duggan, Matt McCormack, Frank Meagher, Ryan Crannitch, Jack Cleere, Paraic O Brien, James Ryan, Cathal Foley, Tommy O Brien, Aidan Fitzgerald, Luke Fox, Jamie Brett, Bill Cuddihy, Eoin Fitzgerald, Brian O’Halloran, Keith Morrissey, Evan White

Unfortunately that ends activities on the field for 2021. We would like to thank all players and management for giving of their time and the effort they put in throughout the year. We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and hope to see ye all again in 2022.

Best wishes Daithi

Best wishes to Daithi Hogan who is in training with the Co. Under 16 footballers in preparation for next years Co. minor football team.

Well Done Cathy

When Loughmore-Castleiney won the Co. Senior Football and Hurling double over the last few weekends a key member of their backroom team was local Physio Cathy Doran who played a big part in keeping the bodies fit for action every weekend over the last 4 – 5 months. Cathy has been looking after the Loughmore-Castleiney players for over a quarter of a century but still finds time to look after the aches and pains of the players from her native St. Patricks.
