Under 16 Hurling
Our under 16 hurlers played Grangemockler/Ballyneale in Anner Park Cloneen on last Monday week. The visitors controlled the early exchanges but our boys gradually came into the game and won by 3-9 to 4-5. Under 12 D Hurling
On Sunday last our second under 12 hurling team travelled to Kilsheelan where they played Mullinahone in the South Tipperary Semi Final. Our boys put on a good performance but Unfortunately Mullinahone were too strong and won by 3-4 to 0-4.
In the Shield play off our boys again played well but Carrick Swans proved too strong and won by The team was: : Jamie Holohan, Eoin O Brien, Jack Gleeson, Tom Butler, Aidan Morrissey, Dara Fitzgerald, Turlough Moroney, James Egan, Liam Richardson, Matthew Lawrence, Luke Power, Mikey Slattery. This young team gave their supporters some great days with victories over Killenaule, ClonmelÓg and Ballylooby-Castelegrace and our only defeats were at the hands of Mullinahone and Carrick Swans. Well done.
Junior Football
Our Junior A Footballers played their first game of the championship last Sunday when they played Cahir in Clonmel. Down a few starters we were always playing second fiddle to a Cahir team who had already played a game in this championship and they ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-18 to 8 points. The team on the day was: Marcus O Halloran, Conor Gorey, Patrick Moroney, Colm Dunne, Keith Morrissey, Barry O’Dwyer, Eamon Needham, Eoin Ryan, Gavin Strappe, Ciaran Mockler, Joey Noonan, Jamie Broderick, Darren Boland, Nicky Kearney, Mikey O Brien, James Fitzgerald, Sean Ryan, Declan Morrissey, Pauric O’Brien, Cameron Moynihan. We have Ballingarry, Killenaule and Moyle Rovers left to play in the championship.
