St. Pats into Semis
St. Pats hurlers, both A and B qualified for the semi finals last weekend.
JHC A St. Patricks 2-25 Mulinahone 0-6
The Junior As had a comfortable win over neighbours Mullinahone on Saturday evening in Monroe. Pats started well but ten minutes in they were down to 14 men after a dismissal. They were also playing into the wind in the first half but thankfully the setback didn’t have a significant impact as they went on to go into the break approx 10 points up.
They started the second half well also and put the game beyond reach. Unfortunately the game petered out and wasn’t a great contest. So its on to the semi final but Pats will have learned nothing from this outing.

JHC B St. Patricks beat Marlfield
The B hurlers beat Marlfield on Sunday in Fethard. It was competitive throughout but the difference was Pats ability to convert chances. Marlfield will rue a lot of missed chances, hitting balls aimlessly wide. M.O’Connell goaled mid way through the first half and with T.O’Connor hitting good frees, Pats went in approx 6 points up.
Marlfield rallied in the second half but just didn’t convert enough chances and Pats picked off scores with relative ease to see them through to the semi final.
